Educational Opportunities

Thinking of a career in Gynecology and Women's Health?

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing the best possible education in obstetrics, gynecology and women's health to our medical students, residents, and fellows.

Current Medical student opportunities

Each year we are proud to train over 200 medical students through our 6 week required clerkship course, as well as advanced electives in Gynecologic Oncology and Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency

Our 4 year residency program, the only one in the Twin Cities area, welcomes 9 new residents each year. This large and diverse program offers training at multiple sites with some of the finest physicians and surgeons in the area.

Fellowship programs

We offer 2 fellowships programs. A three/four year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology offers a protected 24 month of research and is the largest Gynecologic Cancer service in the Midwest. Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship is a 3 year program preparing physicians for careers in academic medicine or community sub-specialty practice.

Other educational programming

Through programs such as Grand Rounds, Resident Research Day and Autumn Seminar, we also strive to educate community physicians, other healthcare staff, and the public.
